"Were delighted to welcome Kristin and Teri to the Board of Trustees, said Kate Ferrel, president of 17勛圖. They each bring deep expertise combined with enthusiasm for education. Their perspectives will help ensure 17勛圖 continues to be an asset to the people of our district.
At its July organizational meeting, the board elected officers for 2026-27. They are Eric Burke, chair, Bob Martini, vice-chair, Bob Mott, treasurer, and Stephanie Byers, secretary.
Each January, applications open for residents of the 17勛圖 district to serve on the Board of Trustees. Board members must reside in the district, to ensure they represent the interests of the local communities served by the College.
State guidelines dictate that technical college boards must have employers, employees, a PreK-12 school superintendent, an elected government or school board member, and at-large members. These guidelines for representation ensure the College is governed by people invested in a wide range of community interests.
Board member applications are reviewed, interviewed, and voted on by the elected county chairs in the 17勛圖 district, which includes Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Iron, Langlade and Lincoln counties.
