The intertwined history, background, experiences, and identities of Northwoods residents will be in the spotlight when 17�Թ� presents its second annual TEDx event Friday, Sept. 30.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 17�Թ� Theatre. Origin Stories: Reflections From Our Northwoods 17�Թ� will be the theme.

"As unique and individual as we all are, collectively together, our friends, neighbors and families, really play a big role in defining the Northwoods,” said David Holt, 17�Թ� Sociology instructor and one of the TEDx organizers.

“Over the course of the morning we’ll have about a dozen speakers presenting their insightful reflections of who they are and what it means to them to live in this beautiful region we call the Northwoods.”

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here. A box lunch from CT’s Deli in Rhinelander is included.

The event is limited to 100 tickets. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with others and form connections that last well beyond the event itself.
